WP 2 “Developing the Training Model for Creating Start-Ups to Produce Handmade Cosmetics”

The Work Package 2 “Developing the training model for creating start-ups to produce handmade cosmetics,” is designed with the ambitious goal of empowering young women by providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the field of handmade cosmetics. This work package sets the foundation for a comprehensive educational program that encompasses high-quality blended/hybrid learning materials. These materials combine theoretical knowledge with practical, technical, organizational, legal, and financial aspects essential for building a business in the handmade cosmetics industry.

A distinctive aspect of Work Package 2 is its innovative approach to learning and skill development. It leverages non-traditional education methods, including Work-Based Learning (WBL) and blended/hybrid learning, to offer a transformative learning experience. This approach not only prepares participants for real-world business challenges but also incorporates digital Open Educational Resources (OER) to enhance the learning process. The projected outcomes of this work package include the development of a Training Schema, a Digital Educational Toolkit, and an E-learning platform, designed to equip young women with the necessary tools to embark on entrepreneurial ventures within the handmade cosmetics sector. This initiative is not only about fostering entrepreneurial spirit but also promoting sustainability, natural health, and environmental stewardship through the use of natural ingredients in cosmetics, aligning with the broader objectives of the WONDERFUL project to enhance employability, promote natural and healthy lifestyle choices, and contribute positively to environmental sustainability.

WP 3 “Training Implementation”

Work Package 3 of the WONDERFUL project, “Training Implementation,” focuses on the practical application and dissemination of the educational model developed in Work Package 2. This stage is crucial for operationalizing the theoretical knowledge and tools designed to empower young women in the handmade cosmetics industry. The primary aim is to implement the training model through a series of engaging and practical activities that ensure participants not only understand but can also apply their new skills in real-world settings.

The activities under Work Package 3 are diverse and tailored to address various learning preferences and reinforce the project’s objectives. These include youth workers mobility, where participants have the opportunity to engage in experiential learning and networking; local training sessions designed to apply the educational content in a community context; staff training for youth workers to ensure they are well-equipped to support and mentor the young entrepreneurs effectively; and a series of webinars and virtual seminars to facilitate broader access to the training materials and discussions on relevant topics in the handmade cosmetics sector.

These activities are complemented by virtual evaluation meetings aimed at assessing the effectiveness of the training, gathering feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.

WP 4 “Outreach Campaign Implementation”

Work Package 4 of the WONDERFUL project, titled “Outreach Campaign Implementation,” is designed to maximize the visibility and impact of the project’s objectives and outcomes. This phase is pivotal for ensuring that the knowledge, skills, and innovations developed through the project reach a wider audience, including potential entrepreneurs, stakeholders in the cosmetics industry, and the general public interested in sustainable and health-conscious living. The main goal is to promote awareness and adoption of handmade cosmetics, emphasizing the environmental, health, and economic benefits of such products.

Local training events and seminars are also key components of this work package, offering direct engagement opportunities with the target audience. These events are designed to educate, inspire, and mobilize community members around the project’s themes, fostering a supportive ecosystem for young entrepreneurs. Moreover, the organization of multiplier events helps to extend the project’s reach, encouraging collaboration among educational institutions, industry partners, and other relevant organizations.

Work Package 4 not only aims to promote the project’s outcomes but also to establish a sustainable legacy that continues beyond the project’s timeline. By raising awareness and encouraging the adoption of sustainable practices in the cosmetics industry, this work package contributes to a broader movement towards environmental sustainability, health consciousness, and economic empowerment for young women.
